Wander: four minutes, drawn by hand.
A four minute hand drawn short about a dog, a train and patience, made to prove the studio's 2D craft on our own terms.
01The story
How Wander animated short came together.
Wander was a studio film: no client, no brief, just a story about a dog waiting at a railway crossing and the discipline of finishing what you start. Four minutes, drawn frame by frame where it mattered, tweened where nobody would notice.
The production ran like a client job anyway: locked script, boards, animatic, then animation with internal review at every stage. That is how the 2D team works on client explainers too, and the short became the best demo of the pipeline we have.
It now opens the 2D and 3D Animation Track curriculum as a case study, and lives on the showreel as proof that hand drawn charm is a craft, not a filter.
